Madonna Will Perform at Super Bowl XLVI Bridgestone Halftime Show
It has been officially confirmed by NBC that the multiple Grammy award winning artist, singer Madonna will be performing at the Super Bowl (46) XLVI 2012 Bridgestone halftime show at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on 5th February, Sunday. The performance and concept of the show will be entirely concieved by Cirque Du Soleil and Jamie King. This will be the first time that she will perform at the Super Bowl.
Last year, it was the Black Eyed Peas who had performed at the halftime show at the Super Bowl. The Bridgestone Super Bowl Half-time show is probably the most-watched musical event of the year, having had more than 162 million viewers in the US last year. This year's show will probably break all records of the number of viewership, as the event is being broadcast live not only on Television and Online, but also on mobiles by NBC and NFL.com via Verizon Mobiles. So many more people will be tuned in to watch the show live. This year, the event is being shown live streaming online legally. So people will know exactly where to watch the show.
According to NBC, this is the fifth time that Bridgestone Americas has sponsored the Super Bowl halftime show. The company's new brand campaign ""Time to Perform," will debut during the game. The Bridgestone Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show is an NFL Network production.
Madonna has already started her rehearsals for the highly anticipated Super Bowl XLVI halftime show this week. So what does the Pop Star's set list for the 15 minutes include? According to Madonnarama, the singer will perform the following numbers:
“Gimme All Your Luvin’” “Ray Of Light” “Vogue” “Music” “Holiday”
NBC and NFL.com network have confirmed that viewers will be able to Watch Super Bowl XLVI Live Streaming Online along with the Bridgestone Halftime Show featuring Madonna with access to HD video, various camera angles and other interactive elements that are usually available for NBC’s Sunday night games. Verizon mobile users will also be able to stream the game on their mobile phones, so even those on the move won’t have to miss a minute of Maddona's performance.
Wouldn't want anyone to miss seeing the show live (thus the link) and believe that she is indeed still live and kicking...to be called to perform for the Super Bowl is a huge honor for her ending career indeed and may help to elongate her glory on Earth for a bit more perhaps.
Thanks for the comment and the recommendation.
This is going to be an epic fail like the Black Eyed Peas disaster or, even worse, the apocalypse that was The Who halftime show (and I am a big Who fan).
I hope that she will be able to pull of this coup and succeed in entertaining the socks off all the people who will be watching this event and get as many eyeballs and ears as possible to break all records this year! Of course, I have my selfish reasons...:-)) So, Madonna...You Rock!!
Thanks Steve...You got to give her a chance..."Give her all your Lovin" and a "Ray of Light" to be in "Vogue" with her "Music" at the Super Bowl so that she can take a long "Holiday" thereafter!!
There are rumours that Madonna took over Lady Gaga for the Super Bowl XLVI 2012 performance.
Watch Video...(we are still unable, for some reason, to upload pictures or vidoes on this site). Some people seem to be able to upload images in their articles. Wierd!
